BRADSHAW RANCH TRAVEL CLUB TOURNAMENT RULES 1. The purpose of this club is
three-fold: to establish a handicap
with the Northern California Golf Association; to meet people with similar
interests; and, this is the most important of all - HAVE FUN!!! 2. Membership fees are due each year by
November 30. Fees are based on the
NCGA membership charges plus the operating costs needed by our club to pay
for mailings, trophies, BBQ=s,
etc.. RENEWING MEMBERS WHO DO NOT
HAVE THEIR DUES PAID BY THE NOVEMBER 30 DATE WILL BE CHARGED THE =NEW MEMBER= RATE. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!!! 3. Play ready
golf! Stay up with the group
in front of you. Everyone must do
his/her part to keep play at a regulation pace. NCGA regulations approximate 15 minutes per hole. 4. Ladies (and male members with maximum
handicaps) will pick up after 10 strokes in order to keep the tournament on
schedule. All other male members must
play out the hole and record all strokes. 5. If you lose a ball, spend no more than
three minutes looking for it. If the
ball cannot be found in 3 minutes, drop another ball, take a penalty stroke
and continue with play. This is
necessary to keep up the flow of the tournament and to keep the officials
happy. 6. Use winter rules during all tournaments. You can pick up and clean the ball and
move it six inches but no closer to the hole. The exception to this rule applies to those who are trying to
qualify for NCGA sanctioned tournaments.
7. Respect individual course rules. Repair divots and ball marks. Keep the marshals happy and off your backs
which, in turn, makes for a much nicer round of golf for everyone. 8. Travel Club scores will be posted by our
handicapper for members only. Scores
accrued by guests playing with the club or by members playing unscheduled
courses on their own must be individually posted. 9. You must be a member of the Bradshaw Ranch
Travel Club and must have participated in four regular tournaments in the
year beginning in January of each year to qualify for the club championship
held in August and September. 10. If you have questions concerning your
handicap, a particular course or the policy of the club, please contact one
of the officers. DO NOT CONTACT THE
NCGA DIRECTLY. They are much too busy
and will tell you to contact your officers, anyway. We promise to listen and will do what we can to answer your
question or fix your problem. 11. PAY TOURNAMENT FEES BY THE DEADLINE
DATES! As we have deposits that must
be paid and head counts that must be given in advance of a tournament, green
fees must be paid by the deadline dates listed on your schedules. We also have tournaments with limited
players allowed. Failure to get green
fees in by the listed date could cost you a place in the tournament. 12. Elections for officers
will be held following the final round of the club championship in September
of each year. This is an open
election and anyone may apply for an office.
